题目:Manipulation and mechanism of broad-spectrum resistance against late blight
报告人:Prof. Junqi Song
报告人简介:
Dr. Junqi Song is currently an Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center at Dallas, affiliated with the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology at Texas A&M University in College Station. He received his PhD degree in Plant Virology from the Institute of Microbiology-Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to this position, he worked as a postdoctoral associate/research scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Duke University with Drs. Jiming Jiang, Xinnian Dong and Andrew Bent. Throughout his career, his primary research focus has been to understand the mechanism of pathogen recognition, activation of immune response, its downstream signaling pathways, and the molecular interplay between DNA damage and plant immune responses. In particular, his lab has been working on the molecular basis of immune receptor RB-mediated resistance against the late blight pathogen P. infestans.
